The Man Of God Who Impregnated His Daughters Unknowingly


Ever asked yourself why there are so many sins nowdays and wonder if the same cases were there in the past? This has been the case thanks to Adam and ever who introduced sin to all men.

Bible is full of wonders and shocking facts in it. In the Bible in Genesis we get a man called Lot who was the nephew of Abraham the father of faith. Lot lived in Sodom and Gomorrah and the place was so evil that God wanted to destroy it.

In the midst of the evil Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot lived and he had two daughters. Lot was the only righteous man in the face of Sodom and Gomorrah and God had to save him from the death of the other sinners. God send two angels to tell Lot and his family to move out of the sinful sodom and Gomorrah.

Lot moved out of Sodom and Gomorrah with his wife and two daughters but on the way her wife looked back and hence she turned to be a pillar of salt. The man and his daughters continued with there journey as back in Sodom was under fire that consumed everyone and everything.

When they had reach a land where God had commanded them to go, her daughters were very worried that they will never meet men hence there generation would end there. They planned to do something against there father so that they would ensure the generation continues.

The two daughters made wine and made their father drunk and the first night the elder daughter went in to her father and they made illicit love which made her pregnant. The following night unknowingly they did the same to there father and the younger daughter went went in too and became pregnant.

Although these young ladies knew of the faith of their great uncle Abraham, they obviously were influenced by all of the ungodliness in their midst at Sodom where they lived. Their lack of faith in God led them to believe all hope was gone of them finding suitable husbands to replace the ones they lost in God’s judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah.

They drew the conclusion that the only way for them to have children was to be impregnated by their own father. How disgusting!

This story is a lesson on waiting for God to replace what needs replacing in your life, if you’ve lost it or just waiting for him to provide what you need by not leaning to your own understanding
